Sourdough Biscuits

      










Ingredients
2 C flour
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 C butter frozen
1 C sourdough starter
1/2 C buttermilk


Directions
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda.
Shred butter into flour mixture and mix.
Mix starter with buttermilk.
Add wet to dry and combine into dough.
Roll out into 1.5 in rectangle.  Cut into 2-inch biscuits (makes 8-10)
Bake at 450 on partchment paper lined sheet for 14-17 min

Notes
I messed these up a bit by misreading, but we loved them.  Left out the baking powder and icnreased baking soda to 1 tsp.  Used 1/2 C almond milk plus about 1.5 tsp of lemon juice in place of butter milk (let it stand for a bit after mixing before adding to starter).
Brushed butter on top after baking.
