Ingredients
220 grams flour
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 egg
125 g sourdough starter
1 tsp vanilla
1 stick butter
1/2 C brown sugar
1/2 C white sugar
1 1/2 C chocolate chips
Directions
Mix flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
Mix egg, sourdough, and vanilla in second bowl. Set aside.
Cream butter with sugar.
Add chocolate chips and combine well.
Add dry ingredients and combine. Mixture should be crumbly.
Add sourdough mixture and mix well.
Divide up into 12 balls.
Freeze balls for at least 20min
Bake at 375 for 20min on parchment lined cookie sheet
Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling rack/sheet.
Notes
Usually I like to do my sourdough recipes by hand, to avoid metal touching anything. For this one I use the stand mixer because getting the creaming and the crumbly texture by hand is a pain.
Some finishing salt on top would be great!
