Sourdough Chocolate Chip Muffins

    










Ingredients
110 grams sourdough starter
1 large egg
4 tbsp oil
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup flour
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
1/3 cup chocolate chips


Directions
In a large bowl combine starter, egg, melted butter, milk, and sugar. 
Beat until combined.
Add in flour, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, and ground nutmeg.
Mix only until combined—about 30 seconds. Do not over mix.
Add in the chocolate chips and fold into the batter using a rubber spatula for another 30 seconds. Again, do not over mix.
Line a muffin tin with liners or silicone muffin cups. Scoop the batter evenly into the 12 cups—it should fill between 1/2 and 3/4 of each cup.
Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
