Strawberry Pie

Ingredients
1 baked pie shell
1 qt + 1 cup strawberrys
1 pkg whipped topping mix
1 C water
3/4 C Sugar
3 Tbsp cornstarch

Directions
Wash, stem, cut, and drain strawberries.
Crush 1 cup of berries and cook with water for about 2 minutes.
Run through sieve.
Add sugar and cornstarch mixture to juice and cook until clear, stirring constantly.
Let cool completely.
Place small amount of liquid on bottom of pie crust.
Toss remaining liquid with remaining strawberries.
Place in pie crust.
Top with whipped cream.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes
Recipe handed down by my Mom. You can also buy a jar of strawberry glaze instead of making your own.
