Crispy Fried Wontons

Ingredients
1/2 lb ground pork
1/4 lb popcorn shrimp
6 water chestnuts, thinly sliced
garlic
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp salt
green onions cut on a slant

Directions
Do all cooking in a wok on very high heat using soy oil. Do NOT use olive oil.
Cook pork and remove from grease.
Using as little oil as necessary, cook green onions, garlic, and water chestnuts.
Mix cornstarch with soy sauce.
Add shrimp and pork to wok.
Add cornstarch/soy mixture and stir until thickened.
Remove from heat and spoon small amounts into wonton wrappers.
Fold, using a small amount of water to seal.
Deep fry and eat with sweet and sour sauce.

Notes
Recipe handed down by my Mom.  I remember mom also making wontons with other fillings.  There was a salami and cream cheese one, and she'd fill them with cherry pie filling sometimes, and then dust with powdered sugar.
