Ingredients
1 C Flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 1/4 C sugar
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 C milk
1 stick margarine
1 can or quart of fruit
Directions
Combine flour, baking powder, 1 C sugar, and salt.
Add milk and stir together.
Melt margarine in baking dish.
Pour batter into margarine.
Drain fruit and reserve juice.
Arrange fruit over batter.
Pour juice on top and sprinkle with remaining sugar.
Bake at 375 for 25 minutes or until top is golden brown.
Notes
Use canned fruit. NOT pie filling. This is good with all KINDS of fruit - I've had blackberry, blueberry, strawberry, pear, apple, peach, and pineapple. My favorite is the pineapple. My second favorite is the pear (which is also really good BLENDED with strawberry). Mix it up!
