Ingredients
1 C Sugar
2 Tbsp Flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
7 C thinly sliced, pared, tart cooking apples
2 Tbsp lemon juice
2 Tbsp margarine
Directions
Toss apples with lemon juice.
Mix dry ingredients together.
Add dry mix to apples and toss.
Pour into crust.
Dot with butter.
Cover with pie crust.
Bake 45-50 min at 425 or until apples are fork tender and crust golden brown.
Notes
Recipe handed down by my Mom. 7 Cups of apples is roughly 2.5 lbs.
