Jingle Jumbles

Ingredients
3/4 C butter/margarine
1 C brown sugar
1/4 C molasses
1 egg
2 1/4 C flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1 1/4 C raisins
granulated sugar

Directions
In large bowl, cream butter and sugar.
Add molasses and egg; beat until fluffy.
In medium bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, salt, and cloves.
Stir into molasses mixture.
Stir in raisins.
Cover & Chill 30 min.
Preheat oven to 375.
Grease cookie sheets.
Form dough into 1 1/2 inch balls.
Roll in granulated sugar, coating generously.
Place 2in apart on prepared cookie sheets.
Bake 12 - 14 min or until edges are firm and centers slightly soft.
Remove to wire rack to cool.

Notes
We like it without raisins.
